Introduction

I have always been very interested in colours and visual associate to harmony in music.

My concert program starts with Bach Partita no.1 in Bb major.

I really enjoy playing Bach, to increase the fun at the stage of learning the piece I always come up with weird short stories in my mind to impersonate the character of Bach's music. Bach does not tell you specifically how he wants his music to be performed, he gives freedom to the performers to decide how to interpret the music for themselves. I will be sharing some of my ideas on each movement via illustrated sketches.

Debussy’s ‘Estampes’ will be the following piece in my recital. With this particular piece I would like to focus on colours and tone to express visually the music’s inherent fluidity and atmosphere.

Everytime I listen to Debussy’s compositions Iwonder how I could show the audience what colours I see while I perform. This is the idea that sparked this project will use visuals to show the audience the hidden colours in Debussy’s harmony.

I choose ink and water to interpret what I feel towards 'Estampes' by allowing the analogue and organic flow of those liquid materials to metaphorically mirror what happens in Debussy’s composition . I have seen videos of ink in various shades of colours dropping into water , there is something very mesmerising about the ways in which the ink expands and flows on screen in a natural way. I will be experimenting with different shades of ink and pick the best colour matching the harmony in each movement.

WHY CACHÉ CACHÉ?

To perform a piece which was composed many centuries back , and has been marked a standard from world class performers. Makes you question how would you ever dear to follow their foot steps.

The expectations are so high that one is stressed out. I deal with this matter by imagenning stories in my head while I practice, so I can forget the pressure and really have fun with music.

Often the audience can never follow what the performer is trying to say via music and makes you think to your self 'What is that bloke thinking while he's doing his thing?'

In my Recital, I give the opportunity to the audience to really see what's in my mind while I perform via Visuals.
The reason I name this Recital 'CACHÉ CACHÉ' (Hide and seek)

จะเล่นเพลงของนักประพันธ์ท่านหนึ่ง ที่ประพันธ์มาไว้แล้วหลายร้อยปี และเป็นบทเพลงที่มีศิลปินมีชื่อเสียงหลายท่าน ได้ วิเคราะห์, ศึกษา, บรรเลงจนสร้างบรรทัดฐานทางดนตรีขั้นสูง

เคยคิดไหม ว่าเราจะทำอย่างไรต่อดี ให้สนุกกับบทเพลงเหล่านั้น โดยปราศจากความตึงเครียดจากมาตราฐานสูงๆทั้งหลาย

ตัวเรา จัดการความหนักใจเหล่านั้นด้วยการสร้างโลกอุดมคติขึ้นมาขณะฝึกซ้อม ทำให้เรากลับมาสนุกกับดนตรีได้อีกครั้ง

บ่อยนักที่ผู้ชมไม่สามารถเข้าถึงความคิดของนักดนตรีขณะที่เขาเล่นอยู่
ได้แต่พูดในใจเสมอว่าตอนที่คนนั้นเล่นอยู่ ในใจเขาคิดอะไรกันนะ?

แต่ Recital ของเราครั้งนี้ เราได้ทำสื่อขึ้นมา เพื่อให้ทุกท่านที่มารับชมและรับฟัง ได้เข้าถึงเสียงดนตรีที่เราบรรเลง และได้รับรู้แบบ Real Time ว่า ณ เวลานั้น ในหัวเราคิดอะไรอยู่

ที่ใช้ชื่อ Recital ว่า CACHÉ CACHÉ

(ภาษาฝรั่งเศส หมายถึง เล่นซ่อนหา)
เพราะเราคิดในมุมของผู้ชมที่ค่อยๆได้ค้นพบความคิดและตัวตนของเราทีละนิดผ่านการแสดงครั้งนี้

โอกาสไม่ได้ผ่านเข้ามาในชีวิตเรามากนักที่จะได้ให้คนเห็นตัวตนของเราจริงๆในฐานะนักดนตรี
